Great Provider, your hand turns the seed planted into the basketful harvested.

In your economy you bless the ordinary and make it abundant.  By your transforming hand the lowliest offering becomes a source of life for the multitude.

Though we are ungenerous in nature, do not give us permission to think of you as a withholding God.  Release from our clenched fists the small kernels we cling to, so that through them we can feed the hungry with joy and plenty.

This we ask in the name of Jesus; his body broken for us as barley bread, filled with love unfailing.
