Deuteronomy 30:11-14
“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so that we may obey it?’ No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.”
John 15:7
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.”
Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
God Emmanuel, you put aside immensity when you approach us and speak.
As we build a permanent home in which we daily invite you to dwell, your Spirit descends. You reside where Christ is sheltered and loved.
Make our hearts a sanctuary for your word. May we abide in a place of praise so that our requests are obedient guests in your household.
We ask this by the authority named on the deed to our redeemed souls, Jesus Christ our Lord.
