Exodus 15:19-21
“When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the Lord brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground. Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her with tambourines and dancing. Miriam sang to them, ‘Sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.’”
John 5:24
“‘I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.’”
Revelation 19:1-2a
“After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting, ‘Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgements.’”
Great and mighty Lord, by your power you have conquered death and you welcome us into your land of life.
Thank you that you have made a way for our feet to walk in safety through threatening waters. We rejoice in the magnitude of your saving strength.
Give us voices to sing the good news to the multitudes. May Christ, by whom we have crossed over, hear our ringing Hallelujahs.
It is in his name that we pray, who hurled death into a distant sea that we might dance in everlasting life.
