“…he who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns blackness into dawn and darkens day into night…the Lord is his name…”
“…Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.’”
“’I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.’”
Magnificent Creator, you orchestrate the galaxies with a word and call forward the sun to herald each new day.
At your birth the Magi looked to the dawn and saw a celebratory star in the eastern sky—you descended and a new light rose in this dark world.
Shine in our hearts we pray, that we might know the promise of the coming Day and anticipate the perfection that is yet to be.
In the name of the one whom the angels know as the bright Morning Star, we ask this for your glory alone.
