1 Samuel 18:3, 20:32-33, 42a
“And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself…‘Why should he be put to death? What has he done?’ Jonathan asked his father. But Saul hurled his spear at him to kill him. Then Jonathan knew that his father intended to kill David…Jonathan said to David, ‘Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the Lord…’”
“And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
“The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead—whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.”
